Meet the Ippie Girls - Denise Tong

Denise Tong is the founder of glamhub.com and a big fan of our jewelry. Glam Hub is an entertainment blog with a focus on TV, books, movies, and style. It provides news, picks, sales, ways to spend for a cause, New York event notices, and interviews with people including bestselling author Tess Gerritsen, TV host and makeup artist Jeannie Mai, and hairstylist Theodore Leaf from Shear Genius. Here Denise shares with us how she started glamhub.com and why she became an Ippie fan.

1. What is your story?

Basically, I love entertainment and I love to write, so it feels right to join the two. My goal with Glam Hub is to give busy people a relatively quick way of getting in their entertainment fix.

2. How long have you been writing this blog?

Since September 2006. My readership has been growing steadily since then, and last year Glam Hub was listed on The Budget Fashionista's Project:Blog [currently under construction] and listed in the Fashion directory of SpreetailGuide.com.

3. What is the most difficult thing you encountered when starting your blog?

Just figuring out what exactly to do and how to do it, but those things sort themselves out over time. I'm happy with how it's developed so far.

4. When and why did you become an Ippie Jewelry fan?

I believe I first came across Ippie jewelry in 2005. I love the pieces and I think they're so wearable because they're simply designed, but with an interesting twist that makes them stand out.

5. When (what occasion) do you wear Ippie jewelry?

I've worn the pieces for everything from nights out on the town to casual get-togethers. I could wear them anytime!

6. What is your favorite Ippie Jewelry?

Impossible to choose, but I'm excited about The Half Moon Shaped Filigree Chain Earrings . They're very pretty and fun.

7. What is your favorite fashion trend now?

I love the brightly-colored heels that are everywhere now. They're an easy and cute way to punch up an outfit.

8. What are your favorite stores or brands?

I wouldn't even know where to begin! The last place I made a purchase from, though, is Nine West. I bought a nice pair of casual black wedge-heeled boots.

9. Do you have any advice for people who want to be a blogger?

Enjoy yourself. Don't force yourself to blog about something that doesn't interest you; it's hard to stay committed if you don't follow your natural instincts.
